Pyle Marlins Octopush Club
What is Octopush?
Octopush is a game of underwater hockey first invented in England in 1954. The game itself revolved around the word
Octopus with the number of players being eight to suit the 'Oct'. The players or Pushers are called
just exactly Pushers - The addition of the letter H to the end of Octopus in the game's title
should now seem obvious, in retrospect.
In order to link the game to the sea further, the Squid or Puck was a generical
convenience.
How the game is palyed
Octopush is a sport played underwater wearing a mask, snorkel and fins using a wooden bat. A plastic covered lead
Puck named a Squid is used and a goal is scored when this goes into a metal gulley at each end of the pool.

Octopush is a sport where men and women can compete on an even keel and the girls in Pyle have done better than
