Kenfig is situated approximately 3 miles North of Porthcawl on the Bristol Channel coast and about 2 miles South
of Margam and Port Talbot.
Kenfig and surrounding areas can be easily be accessed from Junctions 37 & 38 M4 motorway
network.
The old Kenfig borough itself was originally encompassed within the
Margam Estate,
Kenfig lies on the borders of the old Mid Glamorgan and West Glamorgan Boundaries.
PorthcawlA seaside town developed in the 19th century as a coal port situated nearly equidistant between the cities of Cardiff to
the east and Swansea to the west.
KenfigA once medieval village and former borough; originally settled in the Bronze Age, the area has strong Roman and Viking
influences and was developed by the Normans during the 12th century - the Kenfig area is steeped in history
dating from well before prehistoric times.
