Interactive Kenfig Tithe Maps

Kenfig Tithe Maps

Pyle & Kenfig Parish (Glamorgan) 1847

The term 'Tithe Map' is applied to a Parish following the Tithe Communication Act 1836 allowing tithes to be paid in cash rather than goods. The map & its schedule gives the names of all owners and occupiers of land in the Parish.

Interactive Tithe Maps

This section aims to display all associated tithe maps of the Kenfig & surrounding areas using interactive technologies to show all apportionments of the relevant tithes designated within their associated parishes. We also aim to draw a comparison of land usage in 1847 with the present day.

Example 1.
